Smith presents Galaxy of the Mind, his first solo album available
right now. An hour of ambient soundscapes composed, recorded and
manipulated over the last four years, Galaxy of the Mind establishes
Peter Smith as an alternate and unique perspective in sonic ambience.
These ambient ‘mindscapes’ were inspired by the huge
metaphysical galaxy that lives within the human mind, explored for
thousands of years by virtually every culture that ever existed.
They have all explored and written extensively about topics such
as the levels of consciousness, dreaming, déjà vu,
out of body experiences, awareness, flying and meditation. These
are the elements and concepts that made this album.
Each composition on this album began as a single sound. These sounds
were considered an important signal, which was to be directed deep
into the mind. After the sound was chosen, it was then manipulated,
layered and processed to form the final ‘signal’. The
final result is the very personal way of expressing the ‘Galaxy
of the Mind’ theme.
